GUI is the graphical user interface that allows the medical staff to view the graphs and readings on the screen. Many controls such as oxygen adjustments, pressure adjustments, etc., are available on the screen for easy operation. GUI lets the staff interact with the ventilator.

 A ventilator is not used to cure a disease, but it helps the patient survive and aid in breathing. Doctors conduct different tests and monitoring to conclude whether the patient has recovered his breathing issue or not. So, it depends on the patient how long he takes to recover.

Do not expose ventilator and cable connections to any liquid or spray. Also, pressurized air cleaning is discouraged for the machinery, including the GUI system. To sterilize such surfaces, wipe them with a chemical disinfectant such as sodium hypochlorite solution of 0.05%.

Ventilators can measure the duration of inhalation, inhalation frequency, lung pressure, oxygen concentration, etc. Different models have different options and features, but almost all of them support the above mentioned characteristics.

Sometimes, the drug interferes with the breathing mechanism and causes trouble in basic oxygen flow. In such situations, the ventilator is needed.
